The Copper Shores Community Health Foundation has announced it is launching a sexual assault hotline in late spring, that will include phone, text and live chat support. The service will be available to residents of Ontonagon, Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw Counties. The hotline will be staffed by trained professionals who are skilled in handling sexual assaults and know Michigan law and specific resources for victims. All services will be confidential and free of charge. The new Copper Shores Sexual Assault Hotline is being launched in partnership with the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence.
