At the most recent meeting of the Ironwood City Commission, the city manager gave an update on the water treatment plant and the commission approved payment for work on Phase 1 of the project. The approved pay package was $319,066 dollars. According to TheDailyGlobe, the Mayor asked when the project might be completed, and City Manager Paul Anderson said the plan is to have Phase 1 completed before work on Phase 2 begins, which should be going into the permitting process this month, with a call for bids this summer and construction to start Summer of 2025.
