Enbridge Establishes Physical Presence in Ashland

Canadian based Enbridge has opened a new office in Ashland. Company officials, union representatives and community members gathered to celebrate the opening on the day after the Department of Justice ruled in favor of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, saying Enbridge had trespassed on the tribe’s reservation. TheAshlandDailyPress reports Enbridge closed its Ashland office during the pandemic, with employees working from home. The new office is in the former Goodwill location on Lake Shore Drive East. The opening of the new office was not without its detractors. Protesters held signs saying the Line 5 pipeline running throught the reservation is dangerous.
