Late last week, an Eagle River man was found guilty of two counts of Operating While Intoxicated, jumping bail and hit and run in Vilas County court. A number of felony and misdemeanor charges that were dismissed were read into the record as well. Jeffrey Rupert was sentenced to four years in prison and six years of restricted probation along with fines, a six year revocation of his driver’s license and requirement of an ignition interlock device for the OWI charges and three years prison time and three years of restricted probation for jumping bail. All sentences are to be served consecutively.
