Regional health departments are providing information on the roll out of COVID 19 vaccines, including schedules for when the vaccines will be available to different groups, as outlined in the Michigan Department of Health and Social Services distribution plan. Currently being vaccinated are those in critical health care roles, long term care staff and residents and other necessary healthcare workers. Transition to the next phase will include those over the age of 75 and those who keep infrastructure functioning. Those over the age of 65 or those with high risk medical conditions can expect clinics to begin sometime mid February. Everyone is reminded that the COVID 19 vaccination will require two immunizations spaced 21 to 28 days apart depending on which vaccine one receives.
