Glimmer of Hope for School As Northland Trustees Form Plan

The Northland College Board of Trustees in an announcement has said it will try and save the school by tightening its belt. TheAshlandDailyPress reports Chairman Ted Bristol said in the announcement the board is working to reduce the deficit, realign the college and create a viable path forward. The faculty council has approved a proposal that outlines a new roster of academic programs that address student demand and that are financially feasible. Fundraising efforts continue and both the faculty and ad hoc exigency and operations and budget committees plan on submitting proposals on Wednesday which will then go to the board of trustees.
