Vilas County is taking the next step in replacing the county’s Eagle River highway department facility. According to TheLakelandTimes, last week the county’s highway committee received a recommendation from an in-house review team to hire an architectural firm based in Pleasant Prairie to study and analyze the needs of the facility and create the site plan. Kueny Architects presented a bid of just over $41,000, which was $6,000 over what had been budgeted. A resolution to amend the budget and secure Kueny has been submitted to the county board and is awaiting approval.
