Phase 2 of Bessemer Water Project Given the Go-Ahead

At its last meeting, the Bessemer City Council moved foward with Phase 2 of the city’s water system improvement project. TheDailyGlobe reports project manager for C2AE, Darren Pionk, recommended hiring Ruotsala Construction for the project, which submitted a the lowest bid coming in at just under $770,000 for the work. The council voted unanimously to hire Ruotsala. Funding for the water system improvements comes from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.
