Vilas County supervisors agreed at their last meeting to put the topic of EMS services on the agenda for their August meeting. TheLakelandTimes reports there are many towns in the county trying to assemble Emergency Services, including doing research on what other counties are currently doing. The biggest challenge to developing a county wide EMS is financing and staffing, which right now is difficult. Currently there is no committee looking at the subject, the last one was was convened several years ago. Chairman Burkett agreed to put the item on the agenda.
