Town of Lac du Flambeau Secures One Month Opening of Contested Roadways

Just one day before the temporary agreement between the Lac du Flambeau tribe and the town of Lac du Flambeau expires, temporary permits in the dispute about easements have been issued. News12 reports that a posting on the Lac du Flambeau town website stated that the town chairmain delivered a check for $22,000 to the tribe. In return, the tribe issued permits for all four roads with expired easements to remain open for one month, which will expire in mid July. The previous temporary agreement was reached in March.
