The Michigan Department of Natural Resources reminds residents, that with warmer weather, Off Road Vehicle Season has begun in the U.P., and with many trails already open, the DNR is recommending exercising caution. Trails in many areas may still be very soft due to flooding or even blocked. Riders should be sure and wear their helmet and other safety gear, and exercise common sense with regarde to speeding on trails. Representative Jenn Hill of the 109th District is one of several Michigan lawmakers working to do away with ORV licensing programs, but for now, Hill says observe all state laws and be safe out there.
