An appeal and the possibility of bringing a legal suit against the county are what could be in store for the former Ashland County Jail Administrator Kim Lavasseur, now that her termination has been held up by an impartial county officer. TheAshlandDailyPress reports Attorney John Carlson acting as the hearing officer upheld Lavasseur’s firing by Sheriff Brian Zupke. Lavasseur’s attorney said that former Sheriff Mick Brennan wasn’t included in discussions regarding her termination and that Lavasseur had a good relationship with the former Sheriff. She intends to appeal the decision of the county board.
