Fired Ashland County Jail Administrator Says She’ll File Grievance, Has Hired Attorney…
The newly hired then fired jail administrator of Ashland County appeared before the Ashland County Board to plead her case this past Tuesday and says she has no idea why she was let go. According to the DailyPress, the Ashland County Corporation Counsel Max Lindsey said Kim Lavasseur was not terminated without cause, but declined to elaborate. After firing Lavasseur, new Sheriff Brian Zupke appointed a family member by marriage, Detective Kyle Cadotte as interim administrator.
The county is waiting to name a permanent replacement until they know if Lavasseur is going to file a grievance with the city. Lavasseur has retained an attorney. The Ashland County Board has made no further statement.
