For the first time, Bayfield and Ashland residents can take advantage of a grant that will help them make any number of types of repairs or improvements to their homes. According to the DailyPress, a $75,000 Housing Preservation Grant from the U.S.D.A. will be administered by the Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity will be given to low or very low income home owners living in the Bay Area as well as six other counties in the U.P. Funding is available on a first come, first served basis until it is exhausted. Applications are available at wildrivershabitat.org.
