Ironwood’s budget for the past fiscal year has passed an audit. TheDailyGlobe reports the audit was handled by Tony Pollack, CPA, of Makela, Pollack & Ahonen in Ironwood. The report stated the firm was able to obtain assurance that the financial records of the city were complete and without fraud or errors. Financial Director and Treasurer Paul Linn presented the report on the audit stating that a great deal of effort goes into documentation by the city. Mayor Kim Corcoran praised the “clean, perfect audit”, which the city commission voted to accept and file the report.
