Ironwood City Commission Meets New City Clerk, New City Manager Attend First Meeting

Monday’s meeting of the Ironwood City Commission included a unanimous vote to approve hiring of Jennifer Jacobson as the new city clerk. TheGlobe reports Jacobson will receive training downstate and is expected to start in her new position on December 1st. Monday’s meeting was also the first for Paul Anderson attending as the new city manager/city engineer. Anderson was also appointed to the remaining term of the formers city managers seat on the Gogebic-Iron Wastewater Authority board, and as a member of Michigan’s Western Gateway Trail Authority Board, which includes oversight of the Iron Belle Trail.
