Young Bull Moose Spotted in Marengo

A young bull moose sighted in the Marengo area is likely a visitor from across the border in Michigan. The DailyPress reports Rebecka Jolma said she had no idea what kind of animal was crossing the road near her home in rural Marengo. he pulled over to the side of Government Road and starting shooting video of the young bull casually approaching her vehicle and then crossing in front of it. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources wildlife biologist for Ashland and Bayfield counties said a small population of moose do live in Wisconsin, numbering upwards of 50 animals, but they’re rarely seen except during mating season, which is when the young males come out. The video of the young bull can be seen on the Jolma Family Farm Facebook page.
