The City’s bid to purchase the former Wells Fargo Bank Building on Aurora Street has been accepted. The Globe reports Ironwood interim City Manager Andrew DiGiorgio said the city’s bid was not the winner at first, but then the top bidder withdrew giving the winning bid to the city. The bid for the building came in at $99, 958.59. Di Giorgio said the city hopes to work with a developed to move forward with the property. The city had previously bid on the Sleight Elementary School, but was outbid on that building.
