At their meeting on Monday, the Ironwood City Commission said they’d be announcing the name of the new city manager soon. The Globe reports that commissioner Jim Mildren said the Michigan Municipal League was of great assistance in locating a suitable candidate to fill Scott Erickson’s position when he resigned in June. Erickson continued on as city engineer and for now, Public Safety Director Andrew DiGiorgio has acted as the interim city manager.
