The Ironwood Parks and Recreation Department is considering setting a curfew for the depot park pavilion after some ongoing problems with vandalism. According to the Daily Globe, Committee Chair Sam Davey said kids are just out of hand, defacing the pavilion, shouting obscenities at passers-by, and leaving smashed bottles behind. The committee has discussed a curfew of 7 pm or 30 minutes before sunset. The curfew would apply to the pavilion only and folks would need to reserve the pavilion. Director of Community Development Tom Bergman said he’d put together a proposal and discuss it with the Ironwood City Commission.
