The City of Wakefield, Wakefield Township, and the Ironwood Township are holding scrap tire clean-up. Passenger tires only will be accepted, no rims. You must pre-register. If you receive garbage services you are allowed up to ten tires. The charge is $2 per tire. The event is hosted by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy Scrap tire program. Ironwood Township is scheduled for Tuesday the 31st through Friday, June 3rd, across from the Ironwood Town Hall from 8 am to 4 pm. The City of Wakefield and Wakefield Township is scheduled Wednesday, June 1 through Saturday the 4th at the Public Works Garage 8 am to 4 pm. You must sign up at your township or city hall by Friday to participate
