The Ironwood Parks and Rec committee at their meeting this past Monday discussed whats next for Miner’s Memorial HeritagePark. As reported by the Daily Globe, at the end of March, the Ironwood City Commission approved the committee’s recommendation to submit a grant application to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to develop a mile-long lighted ski trail on a loop of the park. If the grant is approved, work on lighting the ski trail would start in 2024.
