Cool weather not withstanding, Ironwood’s Depot Park was the place to be on Monday afternoon, when locals celebrated Pi Day with a walk/run along the Iron Belle Trail. According to the Daily Globe, the event was organized in part by the Gogebic Range Health Foundation. After the run/walk, some attended a pie tasting fundraiser sponsored by Bugtussel Wireless at Cold Iron Brewing, which also included a pie auction. The event benefitted the Jonathan A. Erickson Memorial fund, which raises awareness of mental health and raising services in the region.
