Housing Development in Ashland Met With Community Resistance

An Ashland man is trying to convince city officials not to move forward with a housing development due to be built at the former Timeless Timber site along Highway 2. The Daily Press, residents of the area are objecting to 50 one, two and three bedroom apartments to a vacant lot near Walmart, saying increased traffic will pose a hazard and that the developers are not local, therefore do not have the communities best interests at heart. City officials have said that residents have been given ample time to voice their opposition to the project.
