Bessemer Recreation Committee Contemplates Future Park Projects

At the last meeting of the Bessemr Recreation Committee, a poll was taken of the members to gauge what they’d like to see the community achieve for 2022. According to the Daily Globe, suggestions like a pickleball court at Bluff Valley Park, a garden club to perform maintenance on local parks, painting some of the equipment at the park, a workbee where the city provides supples and volunteers pitch in. More grants to allow the board to add some of those suggested items. A walk-through of the city’s parks was suggested to assess needs. A bocce court next to Abelman’s was discussed and it was suggested the library handle the check out of the equipment. The next meeting of the committee will be March 3rd.
