Starting tomorrow, Ironwood Area Schools are switching to virtual learning. The information comes from a press release citing substitute shortages and season illnesses as the reason for the temporary switch. Normally staff members will continue to work despite being down with a cold or the flu, but this year, combined with COVID-19, the strain on staff and other paraprofessionals has made the situation untenable. Virtual classes will continue through Thanksgiving break with in person learning resuming on the 29th. Meals will continue to be provided to students who want them.
