Ontonagon has a new village clerk. At a recent meeting, the village council selected Kori Weisinger to return to the position. Weisinger was hired in 2018, but then left in 2020. When village manager Joe Erickson was dismissed, she was hired as acting clerk. Out of three candidates interviewed for the position, Weisinger was asked to come back. She was praised by the council for her previous work in tracing incomplete grants and working on reactivating them.
