Viral Photo of Cougar in Michigan is Real, Says Dept. of Nat. Resources

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has confirmed that a viral trail cam photo of a cougar taken in Michigan is real. That brings the number of confirmed cougar sightings in the state to 74 in the last 13 years. Although the photo is real, the actual location has not been confirmed, though it’s rumored to have been taken in southern Dickinson county, about 50 miles from where a video of a cougar was taken in Baraga county sometime in July.
