Iron County Public Health Department employees were on hand to give flu vaccinations during a drive through clinic at the Iron County Highway Department in Hurley yesterday. The health department each year provides flu vaccines as soon as they become available. The Highway Department garage is popular as a venue as it allows residents to drive through and offers protection from the elements for staff. Yesterday’s event is the third of the season, with another drive through clinic scheduled for the 27th from 9:30-11:30. Cost of the vaccinations are covered by Medicaid, private insurance or cash payments of $35.00.
