The Ironwood City Commission has approved payments and bid requests for the city wells, building demolitions and new equipment for the department of public works. A final payment to Binz Brothers Drilling and Pumping service of Hurley for completion of the Well #203 Rehab project. An additional payment was approved for a change order connected to the well project. The low bid for demolition of the abandoned structure at 716 Garvey was awarded to Fahrner Excavating. The purchase of a new Elgin street sweeper was also approved, the current sweeper is 23 years old and will be put up for auction.
