This past Sunday, folks gathered with their four leggers to walk in the 10th Annual Hound Dog Hike on the Miner Memorial Park Heritage Park Trails in Ironwood. About a dozen canine walkers and their humans participated. The event benefited the Iron King Dog Park in the MMHP, and was a collaborative effort between HOPE, the Friends of the MMHP and the city of Ironwood. According to HOPE Animal Shelter Treasurer, Colleen Sachs, the hope is to raise enough to make improvements to the park, including installing some agility training equipment, as well as repairing the fences and filling in a mud pit with gravel.
