Return to Annual Labor Day Tradition A Success

A little rain was not enough to dampen the festival atmosphere at the 65 Annual Labor Day Parade on Saturday. Folks simply opened their umbrellas and continued to enjoy the festivities. After being cancelled last year due to the pandemic, people came from all over Michigan and Wisconsin this past weekend to celebrate the Labor Day Holiday. Floats and marching bands filled out the parade, with crowds enthusiastically sharing their approval. After the picnic, the place to be was the Ontonagon Village Community center, where food, live music and games for the kids took place. Community picnic, kids parade, a car show, fireworks and the Ed Hansen 5 & 10K race finished out the weekend.
