There will be two special meetings of the Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board at the airport terminal on Thursday to interview three Essential Air Service applicants. Denver Air Connection, Southern Airways Express and Air Choice One will each be given time to present their proposal for service to the area left vacant by the termination of Boutique Air’s contract in May. If the airport board approves one of the three applicants for the next EAS proposal, the finalist would then be reviewed by the U.S. Department of Transportation for final approval.
