Shoreland Improvement Project on Montreal River Moves Into Next Phase

The final project agreement phase of the shoreland restoration project intended to improve navigation on about three miles of the Montreal River from Norrie Park has begun. If all goes as planned, the project could go out for bid in the winter, with construction to begin in Summer of 2022. The project includes tree removal, boardwalk renovation and the addition of a fishing dock and paved pathways for a kayak and canoe launch that will be compliant with the ADA.
