The first licenses under the adult use marijuana ordinance were approved during a special meeting of the Ironwood City Commission. The commission approved 10 applications in five categories of retail, growing, processing and microbusinesses after a ranking process. From this point forward the successful applicants must complete the state process along with the city development agreement. The site plans must be filed with the community development office before the city clerk issues a license. There is no timeline as to when any of the businesses will open.
