WORK BEGINS ON ROADS IN BESSEMER
The Gogebic County Sheriff’s office wants the public to know that with the start of the US2 road construction through Bessemer, there will be a few issues to be mindful of. Due to heavy truck traffic, the city has declared that there will be no parking allowed on Moore Street from US2 north to Gold Street, near the high school, courthouse and American Legion. Signage will be installed and will remain throughout the construction process. The Sheriff’s office will also conduct patrols in the construction zone to help construction workers present. Also remember traffic fines in work zones will be doubled.
