HURLEY CITY COUNCIL VOTES NOT TO HOLD MEMORIAL DAY PARADE THIS YEAR

The Hurley City Council voted at the beginning of the week not to hold the Memorial Day Parade during the Weekend ATV/UTV Rally. The decision was made in the interest of following COVID-19 guidelines that still recommend against the gathering of large groups and in needlessly putting city workers and volunteers at risk. The Mayor said the council understands the impact on area businesses is understood, but the city has to make decisions based on the good of all the citizens in town and a large gathering in one place is still too risky.
