Iron County Finance Committee Approves Contract Extension for Work at Courthouse

IRON COUNTY FINANCE COMMITTEE APPROVES CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR HEATING AND COOLING WORK.

The Iron County Board of Supervisors approved a five year contract extension for Duluth based Jamar Company for heating and cooling work at the county Courthouse. The county will pay just under $60,000 next year which roughly covers half the cost of replacing aging heating systems at the courthouse. The contract calls for replacing three of the remaining 15 pumps each year, with all being replaced by the end of the contract. The county has already seen several thousands of dollars in savings due to improvements made to make the courthouse more energy efficient.
