Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board Meets, Discusses Issues With Boutique Air

One of the items on the agenda of the Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board when it met earlier this week was issues with Boutique Air, which is the Essential Air Service Provider for the area. Tom Warren, the vice president of business development for the airline flew in from Colorado to address the concerns of the board, which included complaints and the incident in which a Boutique aircraft lost a tire before landing at O’Hare airport. An airport board member said that incident alone presents a credibility issue that is very difficult to overcome in a smaller community. Warren assured the board that Boutique is a clean and safe operator and that the only way to overcome a loss of confidence is to get out into the community and talk about the safety record and rebuild that confidence in service.
