One of Midwest’s Toughest Bike Races Is This Weekend

The Chequamegon Challenge, a premier mountain bike endurance race in the Midwest, is set to take place on Saturday, August 2nd. Hosted by the Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association (CAMBA), the event celebrates the CAMBA Trail System, utilizing singletrack trails within the Sawyer and Bayfield County Forests and the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Participants can choose from 30K, 50K, and 100K race distances, all commencing at 9 a.m. on Saturday behind the S.C. Johnson Outdoor Center. Online registration will close at 7 p.m.this evening, with no same-day registration available. Bib pickup will be held this afternoon from 4-7 p.m. at New Moon Bike & Ski in Hayward, and Saturday from 6-8:30 a.m. at the S.C. Johnson Outdoor Center at the Hwy. 00 trailhead.
