Whats Happening With Roadwork in Ironwood?

City Manager Paul Anderson updated the Ironwood City Commission on construction projects at its last meeting. A $482,000 water main replacement and paving project on Superior Street and repaving on Curry Street is expected to start this week, aiming for completion by Labor Day. Additionally, $177,000 chipping and sealing, will begin Monday on Brogan, South Suffolk, Frenchtown, Burma, Penokee, and Greenbush Roads (north of Cloverland Drive/US 2), likely finishing in three days. Other ongoing projects, including Phase 5A, 5B, 5C Water, and lead service line replacement, affect many streets. Anderson acknowledged inconvenient street shutdowns but emphasized the millions of dollars invested.
