The St. Germain man accused of first degree murder appeared in Vilas County Court late last week and waived his right to a preliminary hearing. TheLakelandTimes reports 56-year-old James Johnson stands accused of first degree intentional homicide and use of a dangerous weapon in the stabbing death of his sister, 61-year-old Kelly Johnson at their home in St. Germain on March 21st. As he has waived his preliminary hearing, Johnson will appear in court again on the 21st for his arraignment. Vilas County judge Martha Milanowski has found probably cause so the case will proceed. If convicted of 1st degree murder, Johnson faces life in prison. That sentence may increase by not more than five years if he’s convicted for use of a dangerous weapon as well.
