Federal Court Says No to Bangstad

A request by Minocqua Brewing Company owner Kirk Bangstad that would have given his business access across town land to build a beer garden, despite the fact that the town would not give permission has been denied by a federal court judge. TheLakelandtimes reports Bangstad’s request for an injunction against the town is due, in Bangstad’s estimation, to retaliatory behavior on the part of the town. Bangstad contends that without that access, his business would suffer irreparably while the court case continues against him. Federal district judge James Peterson cautioned when handing down the injunction that it is temporary, intended to keep the status quo until such time as the legal issues surrounding Bangstad settle.
