Construction bids have been announced for two site projects at Copper Peak. The Ironwood landmark received a $20 million grant from the American Rescue Plan Act in 2022 for the refurbishment of the historic ski jump. TheDailyGlobe reports a tower project that will refurbish the existing tower as well a a new elevator and judge’s stand and the landing area for the ski jump are now out for bids. There are six companies that have qualified for the projects and bids are due by the end of February. The plan is to prepare the site for winter ski jumping and add the ability to operate it in the summer at a later date.
