Ontonagon County Sheriff Reminds Residents To Be On The Lookout…

There were no injuries when a car and a deer collided while traveling north on Rosseau Road, west of Heitla Road near Greenland Township in Ontonagon County on Saturday afternoon. The Ontonagon County Sheriff reported that the driver said the deer jumped out in front of his vehicle and it was sufficiently damaged that it had to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported to the driver of the vehicle. The Ontonagon County Sheriff reminds drivers to watch the sides of the road for deer as it gets closure to deer rifle season.
