U.P. Recreation to Benefit from ARPA Funds

There are four state parks in the U.P. that have been and will continue to receive millions of dollars in upgrades and refurbishments that will be available to enjoy next year. Some of the projects are already being enjoyed by fall and winter visitors. MLive.com reports Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park has a new visitors center and two more projects expected to be done soon. There are new camper facilities being built at Tahquamenon Falls State Park and Fayette and Straits state parks have new infrastructure and camper amenities. The projects are funded by federal pandemic relief monies provided to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
