Citizen Advisory Council

Next Wednesday, March 25th, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Western Upper Peninsula Citizens’ Advisory Council will hear updates on managing oak wilt, a new digital tagging option available to hunters, and may consider support for the council’s wildlife committee’s recommendations. The Citizens’ Advisory Council in the western Upper Peninsula meets regularly to interact with residents in Baraga (bar-aah-guh), Delta, Dickinson, Iron, Gogebic (go-gib-ick), Houghton, Keweenaw (Kee-wuh-nah), Marquette, Menominee(muh-nom-ih-nee) and Ontonagon counties. March’s meeting will meet in Baraga at the Lakeside Inn at 6 p.m. on the 25th.
