Aspirus Upper Peninsula pharmacies launched the Medication Deactivation Bag Program at its Houghton, Laurium, Ontonagon, and Ironwood locations, offering families a safe and convenient way to dispose of unused or expired medications. The supplies were sourced through the University of Michigan’s OPEN Program. Proper disposal prevents accidental ingestion, reduces overdose risk, limits misuse, and protects the environment.
