Expansion of Recreational Opportunities Goal For Town of Arbor Vitae

Arbor Vitae and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation are proposing a new pedestrian and bicycle multi-use trail along U.S. 51, connecting Terry Drive and Chippewa Forest Road. TheLakelandTimes reports a public meeting is scheduled to discuss the proposal at 6 p.m. next Thursday, the 29th at the Arbor Vitae Town Hall. Attendees will have the chance to view preliminary plans, learn about the proposed construction schedule and provide input. Representatives from MSA Professional Services Inc. and the town will be present to answer questions and receive comments. Residents with knowledge of historic buildings, structures, or archaeological sites are encouraged to attend and share information.
