Gogebic Community College has been named one of the top 200 community colleges in the nation by the Aspen Institute, one of only three schools in Michigan and the only one in the U.P. to make the list. The colleges were selected based on student outcomes data, including retention, completion, transfer, and bachelor’s attainment rates. GCC Vice President of Student Services, Jennifer Sabourin, expressed appreciation for the recognition, highlighting the work of students, staff, and faculty. GCC will now apply for the 2027 Aspen Prize, with the top 25 selected in April and the top 10 in June.
